Euclid Chrome Extension Privacy Notice

The Euclid Chrome extension lets you use your organization's Euclid assistants, messages, calendar alerts and weekly updates from Chrome's side panel. An authorized Euclid account is required.

Information handled

The extension exchanges account information, including your name, email, organization and permissions, with the Euclid service. It sends the questions, feedback and weekly updates you choose to submit, and receives answers, authorized source references, messages and calendar information. Opening messages or calendar items records that they have been read.

Chrome sends your existing Euclid session cookie with authenticated requests. The extension does not read your password or cookie value. It does not inspect unrelated webpages, collect your browsing history, or read your clipboard. Clicking a copy control writes the selected answer or source references to your clipboard.

How information is used

Information is used to authenticate access, answer questions using authorized knowledge, provide workforce updates, save weekly updates, synchronize read status, and continue a conversation in the main app. The toolbar periodically requests alert counts, including when the side panel is closed.

Epoch UX LLC does not sell user data, use or transfer it for purposes unrelated to the extension's stated purpose, or use or transfer it to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes. Transfers to service providers must support the extension's stated purpose and comply with the Chrome Web Store's permitted uses.

Questions and relevant context are processed by the Euclid service and OpenAI to generate answers. OpenAI also processes authorized source text to support knowledge retrieval. Microsoft Azure provides hosting, database, backup and monitoring services. Connected organizational systems, such as Microsoft SharePoint, supply authorized source material. Your organization controls available assistants and source permissions and may have additional policies governing workplace records.

OpenAI API content is not used to train its models by default. The account reviewed for Euclid has automatic API data sharing for model improvement disabled. This does not mean zero retention: OpenAI may retain information for abuse monitoring or particular API features under its data controls. Processing by service providers may occur outside your country; this notice does not promise United States-only processing.

Euclid's use and transfer of information received through the extension adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Information is not used for advertising or unrelated marketing. Access and transfers are limited to providing or improving the extension's features and other uses permitted by that policy, such as security and legal compliance.

Storage and retention

The active conversation is held in the panel while in use. Switching assistants or returning Home resets the panel conversation; that does not necessarily delete records already stored by the Euclid service. Local interface preferences and certain notice state can be stored in Chrome. Weekly updates and read receipts are stored by the service. Temporary conversation-transfer records expire after five minutes in the current implementation.

Euclid may retain submitted questions, answers, feedback, conversation summaries and organizational records beyond the browser session. Some records have no automatic expiry. Operational and security logs, backups, and service-provider records have separate retention arrangements. There is no single deletion period that applies to every copy of information.

Removing the extension does not delete information previously submitted to Euclid. For access, correction or deletion requests, contact your organization's Euclid administrator or info@euclidknows.com. Requests require verification of identity and organizational authority. Deleting an account or active service record does not necessarily immediately remove backups, audit records or provider-held copies. Organizational records may also be subject to applicable retention requirements or legal holds. Original documents in your organization's SharePoint or other source systems remain governed by that organization.

Security and third parties

Release connections to Euclid use HTTPS. Existing account, organization and source permissions govern access. Source links open in separate browser tabs. Information copied to your clipboard is available to applications you choose to paste it into.

Service infrastructure processes request and diagnostic information, which can include IP addresses, request times, errors and service activity, to operate, secure and troubleshoot Euclid. Authorized administrators and support personnel may access information as necessary to administer the service, address support requests and investigate security issues, subject to applicable access controls and Limited Use restrictions.
